Site Manager

Our client is a well-known Real Estate Group in a premium location in Melbourne. They provide overall housing design, construction planning and project management services etc. They are now looking for a Site Manager to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Review the project plans and specifications and comment on the building design, scheduling, possible cost savings measures and potential construction problems
• Prepare construction schedules and monitor the construction process to ensure all work are completed within the time frames
• Monitor subcontractor scope of works
• Maintain and enforce good construction standards and quality control
• Maintain control and responsibility for the security and operation of company owned equipment on the job site in conjunction with site staff
• Monitor the project construction schedule on a daily basis
• Effectively communicate and lead all on-site trades
• Relay to project manager accurately any variations or site instructions requested or carried out for the construction project
• Ensure project construction activities are carried out in a safe manner
• Maintain accurate record management
• Maintain site always in a clean and safe state
• All other directions and instructions asked of you by the Project Manager and senior management team

Requirements:

• Proven working experience in construction management
• Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
• Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
• Competent in conflict and crisis management
• Highly organised, planner and problem solver
• The drive & willingness to succeed in a cutthroat industry
• Strong personal presentation and communication skills (both English and Mandarin)
• Time management and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information
• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Valid Australian Driver’s Licence
