About the Role
An opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Property Manager to join a high-performing team in Melbourne. You will manage a well-maintained portfolio of approximately 220 properties, supported by a dedicated leasing team and full administration assistance. The portfolio includes a balanced mix of apartments, houses, and townhouses across Melbourne’s western suburbs, Southbank, and inner northern suburbs. Candidates based in Melbourne’s west or north-west are highly regarded due to the portfolio location spread.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a residential portfolio of approximately 220 properties
- Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords and tenants
- Conduct routine inspections and manage maintenance requests
- Oversee lease renewals, arrears management, and VCAT-related matters
- Ensure compliance with relevant Victorian residential tenancy legislation
- Coordinate with the internal leasing and administration support teams
- Deliver high levels of customer service and professional communication
- Maintain accurate property records and CRM updates
- Handle escalated property management matters efficiently and professionally
Requirements
- Previous experience in residential property management within Victoria
- Strong understanding of Victorian tenancy legislation and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Ability to manage a portfolio independently and efficiently
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Current Agent’s Representative Certificate or equivalent qualification
- Valid Victorian Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle
Junior/Mid-Level Consideration
Applications are also welcomed from junior to mid-level Property Managers with a minimum of 2 years’ experience managing their own portfolio. For the right candidate, a reduced portfolio of approximately 180 properties will be offered, along with ongoing support and development opportunities.
