Responsibilities
- Preparing and completing income tax returns for all lodging entities including individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies.
- Preparing monthly and quarterly compliance obligations such as Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activities Statements (IAS).
- Preparing general and special purpose financial statements.
- Constructing and maintaining logical and accurate working papers.
- Preparing and completing tax reconciliations.
- Preparing cash flow statements.
- Preparing tax checklists.
- Reconciling client accounts.
- Assisting in consulting matters, including the provision of tax advice and management reporting.
- Delegating and reviewing the work of junior team members whilst providing them with guidance and assistance in the completion of their responsibilities.
- Assisting with client queries and administration tasks (e.g., completing client engagement letters and new proposals).
- Ensuring budget and productivity targets are met.
Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) or similar undergraduate degree.
- Completed professional certification – Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) or equivalent.
- Evidence of continuous personal and professional development, including maintaining the required CPD hours.
- 3 years’ experience in professional services with an emphasis on Accounting and Tax.
- Exposure to larger client groups and sophisticated business structures with multiple entities and technical complexity.

- Strong exposure to accounting software, including but not limited to Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks.
