The Role

My client is looking for a highly strategic Sales Manager with strong leadership experience and existing networks, you will be responsible for managing the sales team and agent including training, motivating, coaching, developing and performance management. You will also develop and implement sales strategies to maximize sales, be accountable for monthly sales targets and providing robust reports on key performance indicators, ensure sales practices deliver superior customer service, share knowledge and collaborate with the broader business and more.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a real estate sales agent and minimum 3 years of experience as a sales manager
  • Proven track records of successful project sales experience are critical, evidence of the ability to run and manage a developer’s sales team is essential.
  • The opportunity requires a professional and seasoned customer-centric Sales Manager who can effectively lead, manage and drive the sales team (agent) as well as influence, inspire and create a positive and uplifting culture particularly within the current difficult climate.
  • The role is to motivate and lead the in-house sales team and appointed agent to close sales. 
  • A sales Manager will set weekly, monthly and yearly monetary goals for the agents to achieve. These goals are tracked through sales meetings that are conducted by the manager. 
  • Perform human resources duties, such as conducting interviews, hiring new staff and transferring or dismissing seasoned staff. Prepare sales and marketing budget and inventory reports. Marketing roles may include planning, budgeting and coordinating open houses or other initiatives to develop new leads and increase sales for the office. Sales managers may perform administrative duties and issue supplies or equipment when needed. 
  • Anticipate and project sales forecasts and monitor market trends.
  • Planning and controlling the budget for sales activities.
  • Reviewing sales reports to determine and maximize profitability.
  • Coordinating with Department Heads to meet and exceed customers’ expectations.
  • Monitoring customer preferences to determine the focus of sales efforts.
  • Motivating, supervising and appraising the performance of the sales.
  • Providing guidelines and training staff in the execution of their duties and responsibilities.
  • Implementing all advertising and PR plans of the organization.
  • Heading Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives and activities

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Previous Sales Management experience working for a Property Developer directly is a pre-requisite for this role
  • Strong stakeholder management experience and experience in working for a corporate entity with highly developed policies and procedures in place
  • Strong existing agent and channel networks
  • Highly computer literate especially across the Microsoft Office suite; Experience in using Salesforce will be highly regarded
  • Full Real Estate license preferred, a VIC Agent’s Rep as a minimum
  • Strong strategic and operations skills within the residential development
  • Strong track recording leading a team to achieve sales targets
  • Nurturing, inspirational, positive and motivational style of leadership
  • Current Drivers license and own vehicle
  • Willing to travel to various locations throughout Melbourne metro
  • Strong capability in recognizing market trends, develop and execute the necessary plans and strategies to win new market positions
  • Good spoken and written English. Fluent Mandarin is mandatory and Cantonese speaking skill is preferred
  • Strong leadership and people development skills.
  • Self-motivated, confident, mature and outgoing personality.

Salary: $85k Plus Super Plus Allowance Plus Commission
