Our client is a complete nutritional products and nutritional healthcare services company specializing in a full range of dairy and nutritional health product portfolio.
They’re looking for a HR Business Partner to be a part of the centralised HR function extending HR support to all group companies in Australia in a functional as well as administrative capacity.
This is a stand-alone position with a key focus on providing support and advice to Managers on operational HR and industrial relations matters as well as implementation of companywide HR initiatives.
The position will be spending equivalent amount of time each week across 3 office locations in Melbourne, namely- Hawthorn East, Carrum Downs and Keysborough.
You will be responsible for:
- Consult and support Managers on operational HR and industrial relations matters
- Provide quality and timely advice to managers and employees in the areas of: performance management, disciplinary processes and formal complaints and grievances;
- Support the delivery of the annual HR functional milestones including performance management process, employee reward process for salaried and non-salaried employees, employee engagement survey, budget and workforce planning cycle, code of conduct, talent and succession planning.
- Accountable for the administration of all employee life cycle activities including employee internal movements, separations and changes to employment terms and conditions as well as the maintenance of employee personnel files.
- Manage the in house recruitment to source, develop and maintain talent
- Development and implementation of management capability and succession planning
- Implement and ensure all HR processes, systems and tools are used effectively by the business
- Be responsible for case management of people matters, ensuring an effective resolution through investigation and compliance with legislative requirements
- Provide accurate interpretation of EBAs and relevant Awards, including rostering, breaks, overtime etc.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in processes and procedures.
- Other duties as required.
To succeed in this role you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or equivalent
- Proven experience as a HR Professional in a manufacturing environment preferably within the dairy, pharmaceuticals or similar industry
- Well developed coaching and interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills.
- Excellent time-management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise deadlines and work under pressure.
- Good knowledge of Outlook, Word and other Microsoft Office suite applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and process driven to provide accurate and up-to-date information to team members at any given time.
- Enthusiastic and fast thinking

- Self motivated and autonomous, takes initiative, quick thinker
- Demonstrated ability to resolve ER queries or issues in a professional, effective and timely manner.
