Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate and produce whole organisation and departmental annual operating budgets.
  • Prepare monthly management reports tracking financial performance against budget. 
  • Summarise and prepare financial status and transactions reports.
  • Ensure that the payroll process is completed on time, and that all employer obligations concerning staff salary and superannuation payment, PAYG, payroll tax liability and BAS/IAS is met.
  • Oversee benefits and compensation packages and ensure all payroll records and other data are fully maintained in a secure and confidential manner.
  • Develop and review financial policy and processes, conduct interpretation of legislation and monitoring of accounting standards.
  • Provide coordination of the development of company’s strategic and operational plans, in line with company’s Strategic Planning Framework and in association with the GCOO.
  • Work with departmental and divisional heads to ensure the establishment of operating plans aligned to company’s Strategic Priorities are in place and facilitate effective monitoring and evaluation of implementation performance.
  • Monitor and document the progress of key initiatives against the company’s strategic priorities and annual objectives.
  • Develop and deliver internal reports that reflect data-driven analysis of progress towards company strategic priorities.
  • Coordinate the development across company’s strategic and operational risk assessment, management and reporting.
  • Provide risk and compliance advice into company’s strategic, operational and project planning.
  • Assist in the development of risk management assessment and mitigation within company’s financial management, payroll and accounting functions. 
  • Effective organisation, planning, organisation, administration, and execution of corporate events and conferences held in Australia.
  • Disseminate information on Finance and Assets as well as Office to relevant organisational units Liaise closely with all.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of quality.

Requirements:

  • Experience with the management of payroll processes.
  • Proven experience in a management or costs accounting role.
  • Involvement in business registration and tax compliance.
  • At least five years’ experience working with inter-company transactions and reconciliation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a leadership role and supervise junior-level subordinates. 
  • Organisational skills of a high order, with demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and output targets.
  • Thorough understanding of financial application security ensuring that all financial data is secure and complies with confidentiality policies.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Xero, Reckon One and other applications related to finance, payroll and accounting.
  • Established skills in accuracy, organisation, high self-discipline and working in a high-volume environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent knowledge or risk analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Experience in strategic and operational planning and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to support all other departments. 
  • Substantial experience in providing high level of communication, organisation and time management skills
  • Excellent English writing and speaking skill
