Our client operates as an up-and-coming education investment firm located in Australia, passionately devoted to promoting innovation and upholding high standards in the education sector. They are actively seeking a proactive and well-experienced individual to join their team in the capacity of Compliance and Risk Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain robust governance frameworks to ensure the company’s compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including ASQA, TEQSA, CRICOS and VRQA.
- Writing governance documents and reports as required including regular review of governance best practices.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the organization, developing risk management strategies and reporting mechanisms.
- Monitor and report on compliance issues, ensuring corrective actions are taken when necessary.
- Coordinating the preparation for and follow-up to board and committee meetings, including agendas, reports to governance bodies and the written record of the meetings.
- Keep abreast of changes in regulations and industry standards, adapting policies and procedures accordingly.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance-related matters.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant field of study such as corporate governance, business administration, economics and public policy
- Master’s degree or professional degree in law, policy and governance is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in governance, risk management, or compliance roles, preferably in the education or finance sector.
- Strong knowledge of Australian regulatory requirements and compliance standards, with specific experience working with regulators such as ASQA, TEQSA, and VRQA.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary: $70k - $100k plus super
