The Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will manage a portfolio of Mortgage Brokers and will liaise with, train and develop Brokers and their employees so they have sufficient skills and product knowledge in order that they will introduce high volumes of customers to the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and build relationships with third party introducers for Consumer Lending and commercial loan products.
- Provide prompt, accurate advice and support to brokers to enhance their experience and advocacy to introduce clients to Brighten Home Loans, therefore, growing market share, particularly in the non-resident mortgage space.
- Develop and implement a targeted sales strategy to achieve sales and profit targets
- Develop existing and new relationships with introducers to drive sales volumes managing a portfolio of brokers through a high volume of contact
- Achievement of Broker interactions and required activity levels
- Coordinate events, training sessions
- Liaise with Aggregators and key industry contacts
- Understand brokers’ businesses and competitors’ products in order to enhance our own products and develop strategies to overcome objections
- Contribute actively to all team aspects with colleagues and broader business partners
- Provide fast and accurate support to a portfolio of brokers to assist with attracting and converting; onboarding opportunities
To be successful, you will have the following experience, skills and/or qualifications
- Approx. 5 years’ experience in mortgages, lending & sales, non-resident mortgage experience would be desirable
- Experience dealing with Mortgage Brokers
- Experience managing within a client service environment
- English and Mandarin speaking
- Sound understanding of Credit
- Consistent history of high performance in role
- Strong history of contribution to team
- Mastery in presentation skills including using various methods and comfortable presenting to large and small groups
- Strong influencing skills
- Strong commercial acumen
- Ability to work autonomously
- Ability to demonstrate strong organisation and time management skills
- Ability to deliver within deadlines with quality and accurate work
- Speak fluent English and Mandarin
