Our client owns a lovely Bakery store nestled in Melbourne, renowned and popular for its wide range of desserts and fresh bread. They are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Bakery Chef to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of the kitchen to ensure high quality products’ delivery
  • Develop new products and update the menu on a regular basis
  • Manage team members, which includes workflow and results checking, providing training and guidance
  • Ensure operational processes meet food safety and hygiene standards and be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of equipments
  • Sourcing quality suppliers to work with to ensure quality supply of ingredients

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years working experience in managing a bakery kitchen or team
  • Strong ability in leadership, motivate the team and promote a good working atmosphere
  • Ability to develop products, be familiar with the characteristics of various ingredients and update products regularly
  • Strict requirements for food safety and hygiene and familiarity with relevant legal food safety requirements
  • Excellent communication and co-ordination skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff, customers and suppliers
  • Chinese speaking skill is required
  • Strict requirements for food safety and hygiene and familiarity with relevant regulations and standards
