Our client owns a lovely Bakery store nestled in Melbourne, renowned and popular for its wide range of desserts and fresh bread. They are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Bakery Chef to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of the kitchen to ensure high quality products’ delivery
- Develop new products and update the menu on a regular basis
- Manage team members, which includes workflow and results checking, providing training and guidance
- Ensure operational processes meet food safety and hygiene standards and be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of equipments
- Sourcing quality suppliers to work with to ensure quality supply of ingredients
Requirements:
- At least 5 years working experience in managing a bakery kitchen or team
- Strong ability in leadership, motivate the team and promote a good working atmosphere
- Ability to develop products, be familiar with the characteristics of various ingredients and update products regularly
- Strict requirements for food safety and hygiene and familiarity with relevant legal food safety requirements
- Excellent communication and co-ordination skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff, customers and suppliers
- Chinese speaking skill is required
