Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Property Management Team Leader to their big family. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing a team of 7.
You will play a key role in coaching and supporting the team, ensuring compliance, streamlining internal processes, and aligning with the company’s long-term vision for quality and growth.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & People Management
- Lead, support, and inspire the PM team in a positive and professional manner.
- Set and drive team goals in line with the vision of the Managing Director and PM Director.
- Develop a supportive, collaborative, and performance-driven team culture.
- Assist with setting and reviewing KPIs for team members, including regular performance reporting and analytics.
- Coordinate and lead regular team meetings and one-on-one catch-ups.
- Organise coverage for staff during leave periods to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Assist with staff onboarding, training, and ongoing professional development.
Operations & Compliance
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the property management department.
- Personally manage a small portfolio of no more than 50 properties to maintain hands-on market understanding and service quality.
- Ensure consistent delivery of service across areas such as residential tenancy compliance, arrears, maintenance, and client communication.
- Design and implement a structured Virtual Assistant Training Program, and oversee daily collaboration with offshore support staff.
- Maintain and improve internal systems, procedures, and workflows.
- Ensure the team remains up to date with the latest legislation and is always operating in compliance.
- Promote a culture of accountability, attention to detail, and service excellence.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Property Management Team Leader or equivalent leadership role.
- In-depth understanding of residential tenancy laws and best practice property management.
- Proven ability to lead, train, and support a team to achieve strong outcomes.
- Experience managing virtual assistant systems or offshore administration teams.
- Exceptional time management, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
- Proficient with PropertyMe, Inspection Express etc, and Microsoft Office.
- Results-oriented with a focus on efficiency and system improvement

Salary: $90k-$100k package plus bonus
