Our client is a leading development group that creates world-class design and architectural partnerships for the Australian property market. They are now looking for an Accounts Payable Officer to join the team.

The Role

The Accounts Payable Officer will manage the authorisation, posting and reporting of trade creditors in an accurate and timely manner ensuring payments are received within agreed terms. You will undertake a range of operational activities associated with accounts payable including creditors file maintenance, monthly reconciliations, invoicing, loan reconciliations, and other relevant duties as required. Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Build strong relationships with trade creditors and internal departments
  • Manage accounts payable email inbox
  • Work with invoice approvers to ensure the correct entity, accounts, project codes and all details have been selected for each invoice
  • Follow up on invoice approvals to facilitate a timely and efficient payment run process and loan reimbursement
  • Local and overseas EFT weekly, fortnightly, monthly and ad hoc processing of payments
  • Upon notification of payments being successfully approved, facilitate remittance advice to be sent to all payees
  • Completing daily and weekly bank, supplier and loan reconciliations
  • Assist in month end accounting process and with the production of weekly, fortnightly, monthly, quarterly and yearly reports as required
  • Ad hoc tasks as required

The Successful Applicant

To be considered for the role, you:

  • At least 5 years experience required, preferably in property development or construction industry
  • Ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good planning and organisation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong Excel, MYOB and Xero skills

Salary: $60k-$80k plus super
